More details posted. John, Marty, Vern, Scott? Anybody interested in running a caravan down there? I need to drop off my car to David Dalke to get some work done, might as well take part in the shoot out. It is a 35 hour drive according to AMA and you will need a passport to cross the border. |

I am still alive. My junk is still slow and rusty. It has not moved since the 07 shootout. But every once in a while i get the itch to fix her. I have some new
injectors and a MAF to go in, and a mysterious injection system . . . and a revamp to the IC . . . but no motivation to put it all in. No time either, and no
money.

I am aiming to go to the Shoot Out meet. I am working on the bird to get a new flywheel and clutch in plus little stuff. I don't have an enclosed trailer yet but I guess I can rent one. I need a 8'6" x 20' x 7'6" overall height trailer (8'6" is normal) and they are really hard to find. I got quote on a custom built one and it was ridiculous (wanted an extra $5,000 for making it a foot less in height). I have the vacation time, I have the truck to tow so I think I am going.

I just worked out the details and will likely make it. I just need to get the transmission and rearend installed to make it worth while.

Vern, nice to hear from you! You should check out performance-shop.com. Sometimes there are some real fire sales on trailers.
John, that is great news. Would you be bringing the double trailer down again? Any idea when you might confirm by? I'd like to look at booking my vacation time. Just missing Scott and Marty now. |

I'd love to make it, but with work, and some training I'm taking this year....I don't get much time for the car. I've done a little work on it
but not enough to race it, and by the looks of it, the rest of the year won't be much better. I will see what I can do, but I don't have anymore
vacation time I can use for it so it'll be a beg-and-plead thing.
On the proverbial road trip known as "life", it is better to focus on the scenery rather than the potholes |
