Well I broke down today and bought a new winter beater , my truck cost me $170.00 to fill yesterday 
I figure the fuel I save will make up the extra cost for insurance ,
car, etc. ( 7.3L turbo diesel and 7500lbs empty versus 1.8l turbo and 3500lbs,)
I picked up an Audi A4 Quattro Avant 5 speed basically it is an all wheel drive 1.8turbo it has some upgrades and is pretty peppy but is incredible in the snow. It is a wagon style has a carbon fiber hood the jury is still out on that item) short shifter, blow off valve & chip etc. In the snow it is a blast.

(Hell if the 150hp version at work, can be `chipped' to 200hp.. (Limitations to the Injectors/turbo for this
one engine.. (it's a bottom feeder 1.8T)
