Just thought I'd share,
After I installed my 3.55 gears that I got from John I decided to go for a test drive, no insurance btw. I took it down my lane and noticed a huge difference and was very pleased. My last corner going back to my garage I gave it enough gas for a aggressive turn with my old gears. The new ones sent my back end flying sideways, on a narrow side street I couldn't correct in time and smashed into my neighbours crappy minivan causing some damage.
The bright side, My neighbour couldn't care less about his car, I guess I picked the right one to crash into he had his acura and bmw parked on either side of the van. I got very lucky with the whole situation and It could have been alot worse.
The down side, my car took the worst of it I need a new headlight and corner lamp, and my freshly painted bumper will need some repair and paint. I'll guess around 800$ damage, it's not that big a deal. I don't think I will be attending any show and shines until the bumper is fixed it looks too bad.
The lesson, There's a time and a place to test out modifications and I defiantly learnt a big lesson. I got very lucky this time so I am going to make sure there won't be a next time. Perhaps I should tone down how aggressive I drive as well.
