The good news is I didn't stall in the tunnel, but I did overheat in the line-up for the tunnel. got dragged to the old weigh scale and then Doug hooked up and dragged me to my Mom's. He is a nice guy and even put my car up on those little wheels rather than bounce my back end off the pavement on bumps. That is the advantage of having an SCCOWC sticker in the window.
Well I'm thinking the fan didn't come on. Combine that with a dead temperature sensor and I was driving along oblivious. I checked the fan and it works so I swapped out the thermometer sensor and also the thermostat sensor with the ones from the Cougar. I let the car idle and the temperature came up to the N so I know the thermometer sensor is working but that didn't bring the fan on so I haven't actually see it being turned on by the EECIV.
i know the car has to heat up to (I believe) 220 degrees. So it could be that I didn't let the car get hot enough. I will be paying attention to the thermometer and if it starts to get hot in traffic then I will have to pull over and let it cool down and then try to figure out why the fan won't go on.
