Hi everybody. well today i figured i would do my overdue valve cover gaskets. Change of plan. snapped a valve cover bolt in the head. all extraction methods
failed. Head has to come off. I'm currently working on the car, but i could really use a hand. anyone that has done head gaskets before. I figure since the
head has to come off, i might as well pull both off and do the gaskets. clean up some stuff, re-loom wiring ect. while im under there. I could really use a
hand... Oh. and i hope to have the car at poppy on sunday. If anybody is free tommorow or saturday i could really use the help. i can provide beer if
nessicary. my cell is 778-883-8850 and ill be in the garage all day friday and saturday. Thanks in advance to anyone that can make it.

UPDATE: after stripping the engine down yesterday. i prepared to take off the heads this morning... As a last ditch effort to remove the snapped valve cover
bolt, i drilled a hole in the bolt, and tried to use a hardened steel easy out to remove it. this failed, snapping the easy out in the hole as well. Seeing as
there was nothing in or around the head, i bought a special drill bit for drilling hardened steel. drilled through the easy-out, and the old snapped bolt.
tapped the hole out, and used a deiiferent bolt. the result seems to be an acceptable fix. had to file the hole on the valve cover itself a little bigger.
Seems like a it works. wont know till i fire the car up. so the heads didn't need to come off the car. I just finished getting the exhaust manifolds back
on the car. both valve covers are on with the new gaskets, and im gonna start re-assembly/ cleaing up thie wiring and hoses ect.
Still pushing to be done for sunday. Help is not as urgent now.
