See this post on SCCOA if you want to know more about that. Last year I was helping a guy from Lethbridge (I think his name was Art) troubleshoot his rough running. It turns out his problem was bad injectors. I've got some other things to try first (dis, coil pack, balancer), but if those don't address my problem, then I think I'll be tearing down the top of the motor. I know that at least 1 of my injectors leaks since I've had the car, so I need to get them rebuilt anyway. Has anyone done it themselves? Apparently Napa in the US carries DIY rebuilt kits? I also seem to remember hearing that someone here on the board did/does them? Thanks! Vince

To get them rebuilt properly (cleaned and tested), I used to use NW Fuel Injection in New Westminster, 604-524-2828. They aren't the cheapest in town, but definatley one of the best. Chris B

Like Freds Injector service, or something.. We've used them at work, with good results too... and have yet to hear anything bad about NW Fuel injection either But yah there's no real such thing as an `injector rebuild' All it really is a Pinicle Cap, 2 O-rings and Filter screen that can be replaced.. I sent the injectors off to be sonic cleaned and at that time the shop said one was no good(low flow),I found a replacement but the shop forgot what injector was the bad one and so retested them all again.This turned out to be a good thing because a second injector failed (open flow,my concern). Anyhow I changed all my pintle injectors over to the updated style and have had no problems since. To make a long ramble short,I would recomend a local diesel shop for injector clean but the injectors may work fine at time of test.Maybe none-pintle style injectors would be better;it was for me. Posts: 1177 (04/24/2008 10:07 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Vince, There is a shop in edmonton off argyle that will flow test them and replace the o-rings and pintle caps but they will charge 125 for the 6 pieces I'd invest in a new set of injectors and a used C&L maf with the correct sampling tube. I have lots of extras inkjectors if you still want to persue the flow testing so you won't be down. the job is only a 2 hour tear down and reinstall to replace the injectors if you want help bring it by and we can do it in an afternoon.
