Installed the filter today, may only be a replacement but at least the unsightly stock air box is gone, and it sure sounds like music to my ears when i open it
up & it's sucking the air in. If anybody wants a air box & hardware off a 97 t bird, U can have it.

on my '96 i just removed the Air silencer that that's it.. and like how it gave it a more `aggressive' sound under hard throttle..
Wait 'till you put a decent exhuast on the car.. it'll sound even better  Not happening on my '96 but still

i'll be looking at exhausts soon enough,first i'm looking at a performance pack from fox lake performance,for the 4.6 2v. Once i retire it from daily
srevice I'm gonna go all out on this thing.
