Yet another question for you all!

My Supercharger is whining loudly at higher RPM. I've read that it could be the gears, but I'm not sure what that means? I didn't think there were
gears in the SC. Also, one of the wheels connected to what I believe is the serpintine belt clicks on and off seemingly at random. I tried turning it myself
and it moves easily. If you are standing at the front of the car looking at the engine it's the furthest right wheel you can see. it's...

The Clicking that turns comes and goes rapidly is more then likely comming for the AC Compressor, it will click on and off, mine use to do that too...

You could take the belt off the supercharger and grab the pully and see how much play you got in there....

I'm getting around 8lbs of boost, and the car is generally running well. The super charger makes the whining sound that is louder than it used to be; even
a 2 months ago it was much quieter. As for the marbles thing, that is what I hear although it's not at idle, it happens as I accellerate just before the SC
starts to kick in.

As for the pulley... I should have said, if you are standing facing the engine, it is on the far LEFT wheel, sorry.... Maybe that will make more...

Mikal,

The supercharger on our cars make a whining sound normally at higher rpm's, although if yours is overly loud you may have a problem. How much boost are
you making? I haven't heard of the gears wearing out in our superchargers, but if you think the bearings are shot you can tell by listening to your blower
at idle, if it sounds like there are marbles rolling around inside, your bearings need replacing. I think the pulley your talking about is the power steering...

If it sounds like there's gravel kicking around in there, take off the blower top. If the edges of the rotors look damaged/scratched up, its likely your
rear bearings are shot. That's exactly what happened to me. The bearings are cheap thankfully.
